Studying at Dimevet

Programmes designed to develop solid competencies, guide career choices, explore interests and nurture passions.

Our Department’s degree programmes combine teaching and scientific research across the various fields of veterinary science, from veterinary medicine to public health, from animal production to food safety, and from animal welfare to biotechnology.

The programmes are based on an interdisciplinary approach, inspired by the One Health principle, which recognises the close interconnection between human, animal and environmental health.

Through theoretical lectures, practical work, research activity and engagement with the professional world, you will acquire scientific and professional competencies needed to work in animal care and welfare, public health protection, the sustainable management of animal production, food safety and quality, and biotechnology applied to animal sciences.

The Department’s Programme Catalogue is characterised by two Single cycle/Combined Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes: Veterinary Medicine, accredited by EAEVE, and Veterinary Medicine, the new international programme delivered entirely in English.

The programme is rounded off by the three-year Bachelor’s degree Programme in Aquaculture and Fish Production Hygiene and three Second cycle/Two-year Master’s degree programmes: Animal Biotechnology; Safety, Quality and Sustainability of Animal Production; and Food Animal Metabolism and Management in the Circular Economy, the latter taught in English.
